All potential new members and Little Sisters of Sigma Omega Nu shall be treated as respectfully as initiated members of this organization. No member or chapter shall engage in, incite, or encourage any act of hazing involving any member or non-member of Sigma Omega Nu. Engaging in these acts includes willful participation and failure to report hazing.
Acts of hazing include any action taken or situation created to produce mental or physical discomfort, interpersonal violence, discrimination, embarrassment, harassment, or ridicule. Such activities may include, but are not limited to: use of alcohol, paddling in any form, inciting excessive fatigue, morally degrading or humiliating activities, late work sessions which interfere with academic activities, wearing public apparel that is conspicuous and not normally in good taste, and any other activities which are not consistent with the regulations and policies of the educational institution or applicable Local, State, or Federal Law. Permission or approval of person(s) experiencing these acts does not justify hazing.
